circa 1885, with octagonal 25 1/2in. barrel, dove-tailed bead fore-sight, standing notch rear-sight with additional folding leaf, the top-flat behind rear-sight signed 'ADAMS & Co, 32 FINSBURY PAVEMENT, LONDON', colour hardened dropping ramp receiver with dipped sides partially concealed by the chequered walnut half-stock, central exposed hammer, iron furniture including shotgun heel-plate and under-lever forming the trigger-guard, retaining the majority of its original finish
