circa 1875, with 3in. octagonal barrel and turned muzzle, the top-flat signed 'E. REMINGTON & SONS ILION' over 'RIDER'S PAT. AUG 15th 1871', with five shot tubular magazine located under the barrel, rare plain unengraved receiver, twin cocking and loading hammers, smooth wood birdshead slab-sided grips, the whole retaining strong amounts of original plated finish and together with a period leather holster
