circa 1814, with 36in. barrel, faint markings at breech, bayonet lug removed, unmarked lock with detachable brass pan and ring-neck cock, iron mounted full walnut stock, the right side of the butt with faint French Ordnance roundel and centred Popes plug, the left side with initials 'J.N.', three spring retained iron barrel bands the top band acting as a nosecap and rammer pipe with brass blade foresight, possibly for issue to Dragoons or Artillery
