A 16-BORE PERCUSSION OFFICER'S or DUELLING PISTOL SIGNED RYAN & WATSON, no visible serial number,
circa 1815 with later conversion to percussion via drum and nipple, 10in. browned octagonal barrel, the breech-block with twin gold lines and an inlet rectangular gold poincon signed 'RYAN & WATSON', engraved top-tang, border engraved lock retaining traces of pan mount and with sliding safe behind the hammer, walnut half-stock with chequered bag-shaped butt, white metal escutcheons to wrist and pommel, spurred square-backed trigger guard bow with single set trigger and horn-tipped under-barrel ramrod
