for 1829, with 32in. octagonal laminated barrel, the top-flat with refreshed signature 'I PURDEY No. 314 1/2 OXFORD STREET LONDON', fore-sight blade with dove-tail for a tunnel protector (absent), dove-tailed rearsight of a standing notch with two additional folding leaves, twin platinum lines and an engraved platinum vent at breech, fully engraved top-tang, borderline and scroll engraved bar-action lock signed 'PURDEY', engraved hammer with bolted safe, chequered walnut half-stock, small raised cheek-piece, iron furniture including chequered spur to lower tang, single set trigger and bun-headed brass mounted mahogany ramrod
