A FULLY-ENGRAVED 12mm PINFIRE SILVER-PLATED DELUXE REVOLVER SIGNED SCHOLBERG, CADET, serial no. 0,
circa 1870, with 6 3/4in. octagonal barrel signed in a panel on the top-flat 'SCHOLBERG A CADET A PELOTAS', pinched blade fore-sight, standing blade rear-sight to the barrel throat, each barrel flat engraved with bordered feathered scrolls for their full length, the top flat with address panel and arabesques and the underside with repeated feathering, Lefaucheux-style two piece open frame marked 'ACIER FONDU' and profusely engraved with borderlines and scrolls, the plain six-shot cylinder with scroll engraved heart-shaped panels over each chamber and with engraved band to leading edge, single action mechanism, engraved back-strap and spurred trigger guard bow, relief carved ebony grips with lanyard ring at heel and plunge ejector with support to right side of barrel, the whole retaining a strong amount of tarnished silver plated finish
