circa 1810, with 9in. browned octagonal barrels, the top-flats signed 'REGENT CIRCUS, PICCADILLY' in script, colour hardened and engraved breech-blocks with platinum poincons marked 'C. MOORE, LONDON, PATENT' together with a crown device, platinum line and touchholes, dove-tailed fore-sights, standing notch rear-sights to the fully engraved top-tangs, flat borderline and scroll engraved locks signed below the rainproof pans 'C. MOORE, LONDON, swan-necked cocks with engraved top-jaws and bolted safes, roller frizzens, walnut half-stocks with chequered bag-shaped grips, rectangular white-metal escutcheons to wrists engraved with a standing goat above a wreath, blued iron furniture and brass tipped mahogany ramrods, fine overall condition with much colour remaining where appropriate and together with a walnut storage case expertly relined in olive baize, working inlet repair to lock area and containing a powder flask, ball mould (incorrect calibre) and period loading/ cleaning rod, the outside of lid with ring handle and central escutcheon with mismatched armourial (lid repaired)
