for 1861-62, first model, with 7 1/2in. octagonal to round two-stage barrel (markings lost), plain early type cylinder with angular nipple-shields, plain solid frame with frontal cylinder release and central hammer, side-plate screw on the right hand side, smooth walnut grips, the whole cleaned and now darkly stained
