A GOOD CASED 54-BORE PERCUSSION ADAMS PATENT REVOLVER SIGNED DEANE ADAMS & DEANE, serial no. 13039R,
circa 1856, with blued octagonal 6 5/8in. barrel, dove-tailed fore-sight, the top-strap signed 'DEANE ADAMS & DEANE, 30 KING WILLIAM ST'T LONDON BRIDGE', plain colour hardened cylinder (colour faded), borderline engraved frame, double action only with spurless hammer, the left lower side of frame engraved 'COLONEL HUEY', chequered walnut one-piece swept grip, domed iron butt-cap with central trap and no provision for rammer, the whole retaining much original finish and complete with its original mahogany storage case compartmented and lined in green baize (possibly well relined) and together with a flask, cap-tin and bone nipple-pot (cracked)
