the 27in. blade probably early to mid 19th century, well polished but no visible hamon and a small number of edge imperfections, signed to both sides of the tang and with stamped 'set-up' mark, single mekugi-ana, standard grade shin-gunto mounts with brown cotton-wrapped hilt, olive green metal scabbard and brown sword-knot
