A PRE-WORLD WAR ONE .177 LINCOLN JEFFERIES 'H' THE LINCOLN UNDER-LEVER AIR-RIFLE, serial no. 60431,
made in 1913 by Lincoln Jefferies (a similar rifle was produced at the same time by BSA), with 19 1/4in. sighted barrel, (43 1/4in. overall) straight tap with knurled locking wheel, plain air chamber stamped 'H, THE LINCOLN AIR RIFLE PATENT' and originally marked '8761/04', now barely visible, chequered saw-handled walnut stock, 'REGISTERED LINCOLN JEFFERIES INVENTOR & PATENTEE' and '12 STEELHOUSE LANE, BIRMINGHAM' with a depiction of a standing shooter stamped in right hand side of stock (all rubbed), length of pull stamped behind pistol grip, cast trigger-guard without tang and under-lever with 'spade' release catch, the whole an older refinish, now faded
