third model circa 1857, with 3 3/4in. octagonal barrel with engraved band at muzzle, dove-tailed bead fore-sight, shallow notch rear-sight to top of standing breech, borderline engraved top-strap, borderline engraved frame, borderline engraved five-shot cylinder with rope-twist band to leading edge, spur-less hammer, inverted 'Y' shaped safe spring, Tranter's patent trigger cocking mechanism, chequered walnut semi saw-handled butt and borderline engraved rammer, the whole retaining much original finish (colour lost to cylinder) and in its maker's oak case relined and compartmented in dark green velvet and including a rare scroll engraved Reilly mould for same and a cap tin
