pre 1940, with fine condition lozenge cross-section 28in. blade, central blind fuller for the first third of its length, makers mark and ordnance inspector's mark at forte, carved solid nickel cross-guard in the form of drooping eagle wings, the centre mounted with a yellow metal sunwheel swastika device, spiral wire-bound blue-leather grip-piece (light wear), large sunwheel swastika disk pommel with oak leaves engraved around the circumference and complete with its blue leather scabbard (small losses to leather) with plated fittings (tarnished), and its blue leather belt-frog
