A .455 SMITH & WESSON MKII HAND EJECTOR SERVICE REVOLVER, serial no. 49836,
circa 1915, with blued 6 1/2in. barrel, crescent fore-sight, sighting groove to the top-strap, the solid frame fitted with an auxiliary period adjustable rear-sight signed 'F.d.l' and 'PAT. PEND.', blued fluted swing-out cylinder, chequered walnut grips inlaid at top with 'S&W' medallions and lanyard swivel at heel, the whole retaining much original finish and colour, the trigger guard bow with additional engraved number '5687'
