A GOOD .450 ADAMS MODEL 1872 REVOLVER WITH NEW ZEALAND GOVERNMENT MARKINGS, serial no. 6908, with original holster,
mid to late 1870's, with octagonal 6in. barrel, the top-flat signed 'ADAM'S PATENT SMALL ARMS Co. 391 STRAND, LONDON', dove-tailed block and blade fore-sight, sighting notch to rear of top-strap, multiple piece frame, top-hinged load-gate, swing-out ejector and chequered walnut grip with eyelet for lanyard ring at heel, the left lower side of frame stamped with a large broad arrow mark separating the letters 'N.Z.', good amount of original blued finish remaining and complete with its issued leather full-flap holster, the outside of flap with a similar 'N.Z.' broad arrow stamp with inked owners details inside (illegible) and a maker's mark of 'J.E. EVANS, SADDLER, WELLINGTON'
