A RARE .360 (No.5) CHARLES LANCASTER FOUR-BARRELLED SELF-COCKING PISTOL, serial no. 8572,
circa 1885, with blued 5 5/8in. oval-bored barrel cluster, the top-rib signed 'CHARLES LANCASTER (PATENT) 151 NEW BOND ST, LONDON', the left side rib engraved '.360 No.5 C.F.', squared action with side-lever opening to the left hand side and double hook locking, chequered walnut grip-panels covering the action cheeks and the birdshead butt, the back-strap with ribbed lower half, lanyard swivel to heel, trigger-guard bow with engraved serial number, retaining fair traces of probable original finish
