circa 1938, 30in. nitro chopperlump barrels (short rib loose), rib engraved 'BOSS & CO. 41 ALBEMARLE STREET. PICCADILLY. LONDON.' and gold-inlaid '2' at the breech end, 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. imp. cyl. and 1/4 choke, canted toplever gold-inlaid '2', automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, gold-inlaid cocking-indicators, Boss 1905 improved patent single-trigger, rolled-edge triggerguard, best fine border and acanthus scroll engraving with floral bouquets, retaining traces of original colour-hardening and finish, 15 1/4in. figured replacement stock, slight losses to fore-end wood, weight 6lb. 11oz., in a brass-cornered leather case
