A RARE DELUXE GRADE 30-BORE PERCUSSION BREECH-LOADING SPORTING RIFLE SIGNED CALISHER & TERRY, no visible serial number,
circa 1860, with 28in. browned damascus tapering octagonal barrel, broad dove-tail blade fore-sight, ladder rear-sight, scroll engraved receiver, the rear of breech with a banner inscribed 'TERRY'S PATENT 30 BORE' and further scroll engraving, side mounted scroll engraved lift and twist bolt, border and scroll engraved bar-action lock signed 'CALISHER & TERRY' (refreshed), figured and chequered walnut half-stock, iron furniture including chequered finger-spur to lower tang, single barrel key, moulded ebony fore-end tip and fitted with a vintage leather sling, refinished and with some shallow pitting throughout
