PIECE EJECTOR.' and gold-inlaid '1' at the breech end, 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. 1/4 choke in both, Lancaster assisted-opening action, slender toplever gold-inlaid '1', automatic safety with inlaid 'SAFE' detail, dipped-edge lockplates, mainspring cramp adjuster screws, border and acanthus scroll engraving, retaining traces of original colour-hardening and finish, 14 1/4in. figured stock (cracked at hand) including 3/4in rubber recoil pad, weight 6lb. 11oz, in its brass-cornered oak and leather case
