LONDON.' and '2' at the breech end, 2 1/2in. chambers, some dents and pitting, poorly repaired bulge to right tube, automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, fine acanthus scroll engraving with floral bouquets, the triggerguard with a shield engraved '2', brushed and blued finish overall, 15 1/2in. stock (chipped at right underhorn) including 5/8in. wooden extension, weight 6lb. 13oz., in a brass-cornered leather case
