Walsh's 'improved' patent No. 5106 of 1878, where the barrels are hinged below the action face with the locking bolt sliding almost vertically in the head of the action body, integral triggerguard and barrel release, permanently attached fore-end, the barrels being retained by two cross-bolts, stock cracked
