THE STOCK, ACTION AND FORE-END ONLY OF AN UNUSUAL 12-BORE WALSH 1878 PATENT 'THE FIELD GUN OF THE FUTURE' SINGLE-BITE BACK-ACTION SIDELOCK NON-EJECTOR BY THOMAS BLAND & SONS, serial no. 7006, circa 1886, action incorporating Dr J.H. Walsh's 'improved' patent No. 5106 of 1878, where the barrels are hinged below the action face with the locking bolt sliding almost vertically in the head of the action body, integral triggerguard and barrel release, permanently attached fore-end, the barrels being retained by two cross-bolts, stock cracked
