ARMY & NAVY C.S.L. .410 (SMOOTHBORED) CONVERTED SINGLE-BARRELLED SIDELEVER HAMMERLESS ROOK & RABBIT RIFLE, serial no. 15533, circa 1897, 26in. turned octagonal to round nitro barrel, rear sight removed and dove tail inserted, engraved 'ARMY & NAVY C.S.L. LONDON.' (faint), 2 1/2in. chamber, bored approx. 1/2 choke, manual sidelever safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, non-selective ejector, acanthus scroll engraving, bright and reblued finish overall, 14in. pistolgrip stock with steel pistolgrip cap, including steel buttplate, Hackett-type snap on splinter fore-end with horn finial, weight 3lb. 15oz.
