* A PATTERN 1821 EDWARD VII LIGHT CAVALRY OFFICER'S SWORD FOR THE NATAL CARABINEERS circa 1905, with 36 in. single-edged blade, fullered on each side, etched with scroll-work plus royal cypher to one side and 'NATAL / CARBINEERS' over, ricasso marked 'HOBSON & SONS / 135 / LEXINGTON St / LONDON' with 'proved' plug over, three-barred guard with wire-bound fish-skin grip, together with its heavy field scabbard with steel fittings, worn, blade with heavily surface rusting obscuring the etching, surface rust to hilt, scabbard grazed with loss to strap and nickel rusting and shallow denting to chape
