A LARGE TIN TRUNK CONTAINING A GERMAN WORLD WAR I SAXON FELDGRAU FIELD CAP AND A RIECHSADLER COTTON SHEET, early 20th Century, the cap marked 'B.A.XII15 / 182R' for the 182nd (16th Royal Saxon) Infantry, XII Army Corps, the sheet possibly cut from flag, approx. 29 in. x 39 in., both items worn with fading and staining, the sheet with a vertical tear approx. 6 in. long running from the top about 1 in. from the left side, the trunk 29 in. x 18 in. x 20 1/2 in., worn, dented, lock broken
