circa 1870, with 2 7/8in. blued octagonal barrel, engraved band at muzzle, scroll engraved panels at throat, blade fore-sight and borderline engraved top-strap with sighting groove, borderline and scroll engraved solid frame (traces of gilt in sheltered areas), blued hammer, trigger and guard, flat-fronted swing-out ejector stored in the cylinder arbor, missing grips, in its period walnut case lined and compartmented in blue baize, complete with turn-screw, oil-bottle, cleaning rod, dummy rounds and case-key
