A FINE & RARE CASED .442 WEBLEY FIRST MODEL RIC PRESENTATION QUALITY REVOLVER RETAILED BY T. BISSELL, LONDON, serial no. 6662,
circa 1868, with nickel-plated (possibly silver) reverse tapering 4 1/2in. barrel, applied fore-sight blade, narrow sighting groove to the border engraved top-strap signed either side 'T. BISSELL' and 'LONDON', plain six-shot cylinder with a trio of scroll engraved bands, front locking notches, borderline and scroll engraved solid stepped frame marked with the Webley & Scott 'winged bullet' trademark and 'WEBLEYS PATENT' in an oval below, large trigger-guard and long hammer spur, chequered walnut semi saw-handled grip, shallow domed iron heel-plate with central lanyard ring, virtually all plated finish remaining and in its blue baize lined oak case, the interior with cartridge tray and compartments for an oil-bottle, turn-screw and cleaning rod (all included), retaining the original case key and six dummy cartridges
