circa 1872, 30in. nitro reproved damascus barrels (in 2009), rib engraved 'STEPHEN GRANT. 67A ST. JAMES'S STREET. LONDON.' (worn), 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. true cyl. in both, right wall thickness at 19, action incorporating E.C. Hodges patent of 1866, use number 806, action flats marked with 'E.C.H.' within a tower, carved percussion fences, rebounding back-action locks with carved dolphin hammers, fine border and acanthus scroll engraving, brushed finish, 14 1/4in. figured stock with partially engraved steel heel and toe-plates, weight 6lb. 13oz.
