circa 1885, with blued octagonal 28in. barrel, dove-tailed fore-sight, standing notch rear-sight with two additional folding leaves, the top of barrel signed 'HOLLAND & HOLLAND, 98 NEW BOND ST, LONDON', borderline and scroll engraved push-foward under-lever action with scalloped side panels, exposed central hammer, engraved tangs, chequered walnut butt-stock (crack forming at wrist on one side), iron heel-plate and chequered walnut fore-end with cross-key fastener
