circa 1982, with blued 17in. barrel with brass micro-rifled liner and detachable satin-alloy Parker Hale sound-moderator, the original calibre marked on top near breech, the left side of breech with 'BEEMAN MODEL CI' over 'BEEMAN PRECISION AIRGUNS INC' and 'SAN RAFAEL CALIFORNIA 94903, MADE IN GREAT BRITAIN', blued air-chamber grooved for a telescopic sight, safety catch to rear, beech straight-hand half-stock with rubber heel-plate, retaining much original finish and fitted with a Bushnell 2.7x 'Scopechief IV' telescopic sight

Provenance: It is probable that Robert Beeman of the USA is directly responsible for the surge in interest around airguns within the USA, and for proving that not all airguns had to be cheaply made toys. Such was his influence, that he had a number of specially commissioned models produced solely for his commercial enterprise. The C1 Carbine is one such piece, and was made for Beeman by Webley & Scott of Birmingham. Basically it married a Victor action with the safe from a Vulcan, a shorter carbine length barrel and a unique straight hand stock. Part of the agreement was that Webley would be allowed to distribute the C1 within the UK, but sadly it did not find particular favour with the buying public.
Steve Harper of the UK, well known for his walking-stick shotguns and also for a number of interesting disguised weapons that used the Brocock SACS cartridge system before they were prohibited within the UK, also was the go-to gunsmith for calibre conversions on airguns, converting many Weihrauchs to both .25 and .30 calibres. Conversions on models by other manufacturers are not common making this example a true rarity
