circa 1868, with blued slightly tapering 4 1/2in. barrel, applied fore-sight blade, narrow sighting groove to the top-strap, plain six-shot cylinder with front locking notches, solid stepped frame marked with the Webley & Scott 'winged bullet' trademark and 'WEBLEYS PATENT' in an oval below, large trigger-guard and long hammer spur, chequered walnut semi saw-handled grip, shallow domed iron heel-plate with central lanyard ring, much finish and polish remaining
