circa 1855, with twist 29in. faded brown barrels signed on the top-rib 'JOSEPH LANG, HAYMARKET, LONDON', engraved bands and vented platinum plugs at breech, shallow fences around the nipple-wells, fully scroll engraved top-tang, bar-action locks with border and full scroll engraving and signed within bordered panels 'JOSEPH LANG', en-suite hammers with engraved dolphin heads, figured walnut chequered half-stock with iron furniture, full scroll engraving bar the face of heel-plate and original brass-tipped ebony ramrod, in its maker's mahogany case lined and compartmented in green baize (some mothing), parchment trade-label inside lid and together with a pair of 'hanging game' brass and leather powder and shot-flasks
