for 1886, 28in. nitro reproved barrels (likely shortened), the rib re-engraved '2' and 'GEORGE GIBBS 29, CORN STREET BRISTOL', 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. imp. cyl. and 1/4 choke, wall thicknesses at 18 and 17, action incorporating Gibbs & Pitt patent lever-cocking hammerless action, conventional bar-action variant, patent no. 284 of 1873, use number 372, automatic side lever safety with gold-inlaid 'BOLTED' detail, gold-inlaid cocking-indicators (missing some inlay), fine acanthus scroll engraving with central floral bouquets, brushed finish, 14 1/4in. figured stock including horn buttplate, weight 6lb. 4oz.
