A GOOD 28-BORE FLINTLOCK BRASS-BARRELLED BLUNDERBUSS PISTOL WITH SPRUNG BAYONET, no visible serial number,
circa 1790, with London proved octagonal to round flaring brass barrel signed 'LONDON' in script to the top flat of breech, engraved bands forwards and aft of the octagonal section, three moulded bands to the flared portion, triangular form bayonet with concave faces mounted to the top of barrel released via a catch on the engraved iron top-tang, flat lock signed 'TWIGG' below the rainproof pan and with moulded edges, stepped tail and sliding safe behind the swan-necked cock, roller to the frizzen-spring, walnut three-quarter stock (repaired hairline at fore-end) with chequered bag-shaped grip, iron furniture and brass tipped mahogany ramrod
